Some stories are famous. Others are hiding in plain sight.
Some Kentucky stories are hiding in small towns, family memories, old buildings, back roads, and places people pass every day.
Kentucky Uncovered was created to find those stories, dig into what really happened, and take you to the places where they happened.
Sometimes that means looking into Kentucky’s past. Sometimes it means covering something happening right now. And sometimes a Kentucky story leads well beyond the state line.

120 counties.
At least one story from every one.
Kentucky has 120 counties, and every one of them has something worth uncovering. The goal is to tell at least one Kentucky Uncovered story from every county in the Commonwealth, building a living collection of Kentucky stories one place at a time.
MEET JASON
The curiosity behind Kentucky Uncovered.
I’m Jason, the creator and host of Kentucky Uncovered.
I’ve lived in Kentucky since 2019, and one of the things I’ve discovered is that there is always another story hiding around the corner. A place I’ve driven past a hundred times can turn out to have an incredible history. A name I recognize can lead to a story I never knew.
That curiosity became Kentucky Uncovered. Now I’m traveling around the Commonwealth, researching its stories, visiting the places where they happened, and sharing what I find.
And sometimes a Kentucky story takes us beyond the state line. That’s why the idea behind this project is simple:
Kentucky stories, wherever they lead.
There are 120 counties and a lot more stories left to uncover.
